ויֵשׁ תִּקְוָה לְאַחֲרִיתֵךְ נְאֻם יְהוָה וְשָׁבוּ בָנִים לִגְבוּלָם" — יִרְמְיָהוּ ל"א:ט"ז"

“And there is hope for your future, says the Lord, and your children shall come back again to their own border” — Jeremiah 31:17

Our hearts are filled and relief with gratitude as we welcome home Ohad Ben Ami, Or Levy and Eli Sharabi who were released after being held hostage in Gaza for 491 days. At the same time, the distressing images of the hostages remind us of the desperate reality facing every hostage still held in Gaza. May their return bring hope and reaffirm our unwavering commitment never to abandon those still left behind.

Ohad (56), was abducted from his house in Beeri, along with his wife Raz who came home in the first deal, more than a year ago. Or (34), abducted from the Nova music festival, has returned home to embrace his 3-year-old son, Almog. His wife, Einav, was murdered in the October 7th attack by Hamas terrorists. Eli (52) was abducted from his house in Beeri. On October 7th, his wife Lian and two daughters, Yahel and Noya were murdered by Hamas terrorists. May their memories be for a blessing.

We hold both a sacred duty and a moral right to bring all of our sisters and brothers home. We continue to pray and advocate for the immediate release and safe return of the remaining hostages still in captivity.

❱❱ We share a prayer composed with gratitude by Rabbi Nathalie Lastreger on the redemption of captives, in different languages:
